Nickelodeon Launches Avatar Studios

Nickelodeon is bringing back a fan favorite in a new way-Avatar: The Last Airbender! With The Last Airbender and Korra growing in popularity the past year with everyone stuck at home looking for entertainment, Nickelodeon is giving us what many fans would have given their right arm for back in the day! The original creators and executive producers Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko will run this new studio as co-chief creative officers, reporting to Ramsey Naito, President, Nickelodeon Animation. They will produce content platforms including Paramount+ and Nickelodeon as well as third-party platforms and theatrical releases. The first project is an animated theatrical film that is set to start production later this year.
