Want to challenge your animation skills and creativity? Then you should participate in the 24 Hours Animation Contest for Students! This contest is an international event open to all university students and has been running for the past 17 years, in which students around the world compete in teams of 5 to complete a 30 second animated film in just 24 Hours based on a given theme. Finished films are judged by a panel of industry experts and prizes are awarded to the top 5 teams. These prizes are donated from industry sponsers, which have included Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney, Dreamworks, Blue Sky, Laika, Film Roman, Pixar and more!
If you’d like to learn more about the contest, then contact Prof. Zachary Rich at zrich@scad.edu and he’ll mentor you through the application process. But don’t lollygag, because the final deadline for registration is Monday, September 30th, so the sooner you contact Prof. Rich, the better!
